REMEMBER HIM NOW

REMEMBER HIM NOW

Indeed there is a time for everything.  (“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.  Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT ) but there is no time like the present to remember our Creator.  Now we are young and full of life. We are doing great things and we are doing well. And even if there are struggles and challenges here and there with some of us; at least there is hope for a better tomorrow because we are alive. (For the saying goes “ While there is life, there is hope“.)

Legendary British physicist Stephen Hawking,  in spite of a physical condition he lived with for more than fifty years had this to say when asked about euthanasia:  “The victim should have the right to end his life, if he wants. But I think it would be a great mistake. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there’s life, there is hope.”

Some of life’s challenges and obstacles are absolutely devastating, discouraging and out right depressing. They are enough to dampen people’s spirits and even cause them to lose the very hope they hold on to. Still… Let us find a way to remember our Creator. For though we trust that our Heavenly Father will keep His promise to us of long life and salvation,  none of us will ever know the hour when He will come calling to take us home. Therefore, let us remember Him now that we can and thank Him for the gift of life that makes us have a hope for tomorrow.  Let us not wait till we can no longer dance and lift up hands and voices in praise and appreciation of His goodness and mercy towards us. Let us never be too busy to remember Him for the one perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His only Son, given for us while we were yet sinners.

King Solomon warns us in Ecclesiastes. Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. Remember him before your legs—the guards of your house—start to tremble; and before your shoulders—the strong men—stoop. Remember him before your teeth—your few remaining servants—stop grinding; and before your eyes—the women looking through the windows—see dimly.  Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.” Ecclesiastes 12: 2 – 4 NLT

Now that we are full of vigour let us revere Him, honour Him and worship Him. He has given His best, His all for us. Please let us not wait till it is time to go back to Him before we remember to do theses things.

As we go to sleep at night and awake to life each new morning, let us remember our Father and our God and appreciate Him. There is no time like the present to do so. LET US REMEMBER HIM NOW!
