A LOYALTY SO GREAT!
A LOYALTY SO GREAT!
“A swarm of more than 20,000 bees followed a grandmother’s car for over 24 hours attempting to rescue their queen……….”
The Telegraph, 24 May, 2016
Bees are typically social in nature with the exception of the solitary bees. They are usually found in colonies where they live within a rigid caste system: Queen bee, male drones and (female) worker bees.
A writer, Melissa Breyer, in her May 27, 2016 article on Treehugger , puts it this way……..
“Devotion knows no bounds when it comes to bees and their leader”
This really got me thinking.
To the One who gave His life for us; how devoted are we?
Our God is faithful to us even when from Him we flee. 2 Timothy 2:13
He is a covenant keeping Father. Romans 8: 35-39
And a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18: 24
Let’s learn a lesson from this swarm of bees.
And follow our Leader without apologies.
They really did not care what harm might come to them,
It was all about the queen bee from whom life stemmed.
For without their queen a whole colony could die,
Yet how we often ignore the King who for us did die.
It’s time to return to our origin and do,
The will of God and follow the Son.
