BE BOLD, YOU HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.

BE BOLD; YOU HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.

My son and I have a morning routine of making some positive confessions.
One of such confessions goes like this
I am bold,
I am bright,
And I have the mind of Christ.”

He enjoys this particular confession and is always excited saying it. He would flex his muscles and point at his head indicating that the mind of Christ resides there.

The other day as we were going through our routine, I remembered the story of David and Goliath, the Philistine Giant.
The boldnese of David as was displayed when he went out against Goliath is actually incredibly remarkable.
The truth is that David was actually very young at that time; a mere teenager. And Goliath was an old time warrior with years of experience under his armour. What on earth was David thinking? What could he have been imagining? What could have been on his mind? I have no doubt that David had the mind of Christ. Listen to the exchange between him and King Saul.

“He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before. What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him. David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.” But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.”
1 Samuel 17:30-36 NIV

I can assure you that David had no ordinary mind. How else can one explain such audacity? How could such a young lad be so bold, so audacious, so confident? Only the mind of Christ could have made that possible.
“For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND and PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].” 1 Corinthians 2:16 Amplified

Having the mind of Christ is possible for believers. We must be conscious of the truth that the Spirit of ABBA, our Father, lives on the inside of us; to lead and guide us in absolutely everything we do. But do we have a relationship with Him?
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” Romans 8:14 NLT
Having the mind of Christ is to be led by the Spirit of God.
When we are led that way, we can never go wrong. Even our errors will work together for our good. If nothing else, we will learn valuable lessons from them.

Dear friends, God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and a sound mind. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
That sound mind is the mind of Christ.

When David came charging at Goliath, he was sure of one thing, that God who had delivered him from the lion and the bear while tending his father’s sheep, would certainly deliver him from the Philistine. He was not confused about that at all. And because we are the righteousness of God , in Christ Jesus, and the bible tells us that the righteous are bold as a lion, we should not be confused about our position of authority against the enemy and his schemes. They will NEVER triumph over us.

I DECLARE WITH ALL CERTAINTY AND AUTHOURITY THAT I AM BOLD AND I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST!
