THE WORD THAT FOUND A HOME.

THE WORD THAT FOUND A HOME

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV

Today, I celebrate and honour a woman of God, an Ambassador of Christ, a truly remarkable woman,  IfeOluwa JAIYESIMI, “The Revolutionary Righter”, but even more than that, I celebrate the Word of God that took root in her heart many years ago.

As a little girl who sat in a classroom at Life Fort High School in Ibadan, she committed Philippians 4:13 to memory. At the time, it was simply another Scripture verse to learn. Yet God was planting a seed.

Years later, that same little girl shared something with me that I have never forgotten. Whenever she struggled to understand a subject or found a topic particularly difficult, she would quietly meditate on that verse: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”At this point, she wasn’t merely reciting words, she was placing her confidence in Christ and returning to His Word until clarity came.

And then as the years passed, she became the Head Girl at her Secondary School, Christ Ambassadors International College, where she won multiple awards for Academic excellence.

She went through her LL. B at the University of Essex and her BL at the Nigerian Law School.

After working at the chambers of Ladosu Ladapo (SAN) and Co briefly, she served diligently as the Personal Assistant to the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Hon. Justice Iyabo Subulade Yerima, before proceeding to Wales. Today, she has been conferred with an LL.M. from Cardiff University. Wales.

The degree is the milestone.

The Word of God is the foundation.

I have watched this young woman over the years. Her success has never been an accident. It has been built on discipline, diligence, humility, and a quiet confidence that Christ would strengthen her. God’s Word did not replace hard work; it shaped the heart of one who was willing to work faithfully.

Her story reminds me that we should never underestimate the power of planting God’s Word in the heart of a child. It is a powerful legacy. Long after classrooms have been forgotten and teachers’ voices have faded, the Word of God will still speak. It never fails. A verse learned in childhood can become strength in adulthood. A promise hidden in the heart can become an anchor through every season of life.

What a beautiful testimony that the Word of God found a home in the heart of our “Revolutionary Righter”.

Today, I thank God for faithful teachers who planted Scripture, for a young girl who believed it, for parents and mentors who nurtured her, for the discipline to study diligently and to remain humble and extremely well behaved and above all, for His Word which continues to strengthen His children.

To my dear “Revolutionary Righter,” Congratulations on your LL.M. May the same Word that strengthened you in the classroom continue to guide you in the courtroom, in every decision, and in every season of life. I pray that your knowledge will always be anchored in the wisdom of God and your influence will continue to reflect the character of Christ.

Dear friends, let us all be encouraged to do more than read God’s Word to/for ourselves and to our children. Let us treasure it, meditate on it, believe it, and live it. For when the Word of God truly finds a home in our hearts, its fruit will be seen in every area of our lives.
