PLAN FOR YOUR HARVEST

PLAN FOR YOUR HARVEST!!

“As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest ………………..will never cease”. Gen 8:28 NIV

There is no harvest without a seed that was first planted.

Going our way on the journey of 2017, there is no better time, than at the start, to sow the seeds of what we expect to harvest.

Some of us are young and are still at school, university,  college or new to the working world after school and are looking ahead to a bright future. That’s great.

Some on the other hand have been quite a while out there in the market place.

And still some are almost at;  or way over; the three score years and ten that were promised by God.

No matter where in life we are right now, it is still a great time to sow. After all King Solomon said

“In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.” Ecclesiastes  11:6 KJV

Before launching out into the deep of 2017, let’s take a moment to think about the fruits we want to see in our lives this year. And start making plans to plant their seeds.

Harvest time should be a time of joy. Therefore let us plant wisely so that we will have joyful harvests.

“Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil”. Isaiah  9:3 KJV

As we make our plans to sow, we must remember that God controls the Harvest.

“I kept the rain from falling when your crops needed it the most.  I sent rain on one town but withheld it from another. Rain fell on one field, while another field withered away.”  Amos 4:7 NLT

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians  3:6 KJV

“They do not say from the heart, ‘Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’ Jeremiah 5:24 NLT

What a mistake they made in Jeremiah 5:24!! When it was God, who promised:  “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed;”  Amos  9:13a KJV

Just imagine a harvest so great, so bountiful and so abundant we are still reaping from it while we have to start another planting season. Awesome!!!

It is wise therefore to acknowledge God as the Lord of the Harvest regardless of who we are, where we are or what we plant.

Only God has the power and authority to control our harvest so no matter how it looks now, let us ;

“be not weary in well doing :for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 KJV

This year then, let us Revere Him, Praise Him, Worship and Adore Him!

He is the LORD OF THE HARVEST.Plowman-and-Reaper
