THE STRETCH IS GOOD.

THE STRETCH IS GOOD.
Before one starts an exercise routine it is always advisable to do some stretches. The stretching has many advantages like helping muscles stay healthy, strong, and flexible and allows for a better performance too. On the other hand, not stretching before exercise can lead to injury. This is because muscles may be tight, which can increase the likelihood of strains, sprains, or tears during physical activity.
The way a stretch session before exercise enhances performance on the work out is the way being stretched in life generally allows for greater things to come to pass in our lives. What happens when we are stretched is that we are building capacity for more. Yet most times when we are stretched, we tend to grumble and complain because we only see the challenges but the truth is that we are being prepared for bigger things. We must look beyond those obstacles honestly. Every jump over the hurdle is bringing us closer to a glorious end.
In athletic performances like jumps or activities that involve projectiles, the action of stretching back before taking off is mainly to increase speed or to generate power.
This tells me that when we are stretched it is to increase our speed and generate power in readiness for bigger opportunities which mask first as obstacles and challenges before revealing the real deal.
See what the Word of God has to say about stretching
“Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.” Isaiah 64: 2 – 4a NIV
When it is time to expand or move up higher in life, we need to be strong and we need not be easily moved or shaken. Those obstacles will definitely come but we must rise above and move past them.
Even when the storms rage, we just have to trust God at His Word. And He is telling us clearly in the above scripture NOT to be afraid. He assures us that we will NOT be disgraced or humiliated.
When next we feel like we are being stretched to the right and to the left and every which way, let us remember that it is part of expansion and growth. It is going to be alright.
THE STRETCH IS GOOD!
IT WILL NOT BREAK YOU.
THE STRETCH IS GOOD.
IT WILL MAKE YOU STRONGER.
THE STRETCH IS GOOD.
EMBRACE IT.
