IT’S A NEW YEAR!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!
I am so excited because it is the start of a new year. Yippee yaaaay!!
There is always so much expectation and anticipation at this time and I pray that our hopes will not be dashed in Jesus name.
But some of us came into this new year with a lot of baggage, not just from last year but from years gone by. Some are depressed and downright miserable and are at the point of packing it in and giving it all up. But I dare say “Don’t even think about it”.
Could it be that long time needs have still not been met?
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”- Phillipians 4:19 KJV
Is it perhaps that all the hard work and hustle of last year did not quite pay off?
God is still saying “In all labour there is profit: .………….Proverbs 14:23b KJV
Bills, bills and mores bills this January? God will send help your way.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1 KJV
Or is the new year just a reminder that this is another year in which some of us are still single, some are still without that much wanted child, or without a job, a source of livelihood?
Wherever you are, it is still a year that the Lord has made and allowed us to come into and definitely for a reason.
So this is not the time to let anything distract us from the opportunities that have come with this new year. It is not the time to let anything rob us of the promises God has prepared for us. It is not the time to stop trusting or believing in what He says. Trust me, if He said He will, then by all means, He will do it.
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?“ Numbers 23:19 KJV
And are you still waiting for the right man to come along?
“For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry”. Hebrews 10: 37 KJV
So the promotion did not come; please do not begin to slouch on the job.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; “ Colossians 3:23 KJV
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalms 75:6 -7 KJV
Dear lovely sister did you not conceive? Hey! hear the word of God to you
“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.” Judges 13:3 KJV
And perhaps you were trusting to buy that “PJ and Y” **wink** and it did not happen?
He is still “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,” Ephesians 3:20 KJV
Maybe somebody out there has lost a loved one; let God be your comfort.
For he is “the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”
2 Corinthians 1:3 KJV
I am so excited. What about you? Ain’t NOBODY!!! GONNA RAIN ON MY PARADE!
This year, let us not be spectators; let’s participate.
Let’s go forth in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and make big things happen!
Go out there and give it your best shot and while you are at it “GET YOUR PRAISE ON!!!”
