JESUS LIVES AND LOVES FOREVER
JESUS LIVES AND LOVES FOREVER !!!
It is the week of the Lord’s passion,
Our Lord always full of compassion
As we remember with sobriety,
What happened in the Jewish Society
More than two thousand years ago,
When my Saviour was left to go,
Off to the cross of Calvary.
With such terrible brutality.
Jesus took their cruel blows,
And the pain He felt, no one knows.
But today, we look to Him,
Not with faces downcast and grim.
But we look to Him with radiance,
And my…what brilliance!
“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed”. Psalms 34 : 5 KJV.
Yes! The enemy plotted against Him.
They were so sure of their evil scheme,
That the Messiah; the only begotten Son of the Father,
Would be left alone for them to slaughter.
They raged, they ranted, they imagined a vain thing. They wasted their time on an absolutely futile plan. They ganged up against the Lord and His Anointed One. Oh; how futile indeed! (Paraphrase of Psalm 2 : 1- 2)
“But the One who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.” Psalm 2 : 4 NLT
Their well thought out and executed plan back fired. They crucified the King of kings. But He rose from the dead and is alive today and for evermore.
And the 2018 Grammy award winning song “What a beautiful name” by Hillsong says it so perfectly.
“Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You
You silenced the boast, of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again”
“You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, Our God reigns
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names.” (What a beautiful name.) Hillsong Worship
Jesus reigns, Jesus rules, Jesus lives for evermore.
His name is greater, higher, more beautiful and more powerful than any other name.
As we prepare once again to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, remember that He went through the unthinkable brutality, the pain, the shame and the torture just for you and I, to bring us back to God, the Father.
No matter how far back you have fallen, Jesus Christ went to the cross for you. Do not ignore His nail-pierced hands as He stretches them out to you now and bids you come. Even if your sin is great, trust me His love is so much greater.
JESUS IS ALIVE AND HIS LOVE WILL NEVER DIE!!!
