FIND YOUR NOAH

FIND YOUR NOAH

We live in a world where ideas rule. The shape of our world today has come about largely by ideas that were executed.

Can you just imagine what the world would be without mobile phones, without cars or without the Internet? Though I have lived in a time where there were no mobile phones and no Internet, I cannot even remember that time anymore. I wonder how we survived.  Every invention known to man, ancient or modern, is someone’s idea or brainchild.

Please note the use of the word brainchild  as a synonym for idea. The brain because ideas are conceived in our minds and child because ideas are to be nurtured till they come of age and even beyond that, just like children. This is one reason why our mind is an extremely powerful force. Whatever is conceived there is a child that has the potential to grow and change the world.

Today, I want to tell you about a child.

A child that will bring relief to years of toil.

A child that will bring comfort after years of vain labour.

A child that will make the difference between unprofitable labour and abundance.

Let me introduce you to a child called NOAH.

Noah was the child of Lamech the son of Methusellah, the son of Enoch in the bible.

After years of seemingly unfruitful toil the people wanted rest and relief and as they prayed to God for help, God sent Noah; who came with a purpose.

Everybody needs to birth their own NOAH: that child (brainchild) that will bring rest and relief.

When you birth your NOAH, you will be in favour with God. “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” Genesis 6:8 NIV

When you birth NOAH it is evident that God is giving you another chance.

When you birth NOAH you can be sure that God will preserve you.

Yet not everyone will support your NOAH. Some will discourage it outright and some will laugh at it. Sometimes to you even, the NOAH might seem farfetched or unrealistic that you will begin to think it might be better to leave things as they are. I am sure the idea of an aeroplane first sounded like insanity. But here we are today jetting back and forth around the world.

Today the world definitely needs rest and comfort from all the pain, violence and negativity out there. Everyone needs their NOAH. For those who ignored NOAH in the scriptures it was to their disadvantage. They were swept away by the flood that God unleashed upon the world.

Perhaps you are retiring, you are becoming a grandmother for the first time or you are recently separated, divorced or widowed or all your children have officially left the nest, do not feel alone; pay attention to that NOAH. Maybe you have been toying around with it for years now and been thinking that it will never happen. No! Do not think that way. Pay attention to your NOAH.

NOAH is in our mind and we can bring him forth. NOAH is our own offspring not another person’s child.

We must bring him forth by ourselves. That idea is ours to nurture and develop. If we leave it to others we might not achieve the desired results.

We have to tell ourselves that it can be done.

We have to believe in ourselves.

We have to be confident in ourselves.

Because the One who lives in us is greater than the voices on the outside trying to discourage us. The voices that tell us we are not enough or that we do not have what it takes, are lying. We must stop listening to those voices.

We must drown them out quickly and listen to the One who says : “I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the LORD your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9 Contemporary English Version Remember He told us: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27 KJV  Therefore that is the voice we need to be listening to and it will do us every good to follow Him.

Please note that this NOAH is not a physical child.  But rather a brainchild. This is the kind  that is talked about here when theysay they will bear fruit in old age: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,” Psalms 92: 12-14 NIV

THAT BRAINCHILD IS MORE THAN AN IDEA.  I CALL IT NOAH. FIND YOUR NOAH. FIND REST.
