GOD OF PERFECT TIMING.
THE GOD OF PERFECT TIMING
Everything is beautiful in its time.!
This is not just a comforting statement—it is a divine principle. Life itself is governed by timing, and God, in His wisdom, orders everything according to His perfect schedule.
It is written “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11a NIV
Not early.
Not late.
But IN IT’S TIME. That is the right and perfect time.
Timing is a very powerful thing. And it determines the outcome of events and situations.
Something good can become unpleasant if it comes too early. And something full of promise can lose its value if it arrives too late.
Let us talk about an orange – by nature, it is a very sweet and refreshing fruit. But if you pluck it before it ripens, it is sour—sharp on the tongue and unpleasant. If you leave it too long, it begins to spoil and rot. But when it is picked at the right time, it becomes exactly what it is created to be—sweet, nourishing, and enjoyable.
That is what timing does—it preserves beauty.
Let us also consider the journey of a baby in the womb who develops over a carefully designed period—each stage building upon the other. The heart forms, the lungs mature, the brain develops, and strength is gradually built for life outside the womb.
But if that baby comes too early, say at six or seven months, the story changes. The baby will not yet be fully prepared for the outside world. The lungs may still be developing, and the body may not be strong enough to function independently. Such a child often requires an incubator. While on the other hand staying too long in the womb is also risky. When the baby exceeds the natural term, the environment (the womb) that once nurtured life can begin to pose danger. Complications may arise, and what was once safe can become restrictive.
Yet, when the baby comes at full term and maturity, everything aligns. The body is ready. The systems are complete. The transition is natural., That is the perfect time.
Too early brings struggle.
Too late brings complications.
But right timing brings completeness and wholeness.
Scripture reminds us that:
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV
Everything God does is intentional and timed.
Even the coming of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ, was not random. The Bible says “But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.” Galatians 4:4 NLT
Not before. Not after. At the fullness of time. Jesus came at just the right time.
And when He came He still learnt from the teachers of the law. At the age of twelve as a young boy, when He stayed back at the temple in Jerusalem after the Passover, He was still subject to His earthly parents. They had gone far on their return journey when they discovered He was missing. When they came back and found Him in the temple courts He responded to them and went back home with them. “Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. And his mother stored all these things in her heart.” Luke 2:51 NLT
Sometimes while we are believing God for a particular thing and we are ready to run with it, it could appear that heaven is silent, that our prayers are going unanswered, that doors remain closed and opportunities feel just out of reach.
Though itooks like stagnation, what is actually happening is preparation. That is the time to be built. Even when David was anointed king of Israel, he still passed through experiences that prepared him fully for the throne. God sees what we cannot see. Remember He knows the end from the beginning. He knows what we are not yet ready to handle. He understands the weight of what we are asking for.
If it comes too early, we may not have the capacity to sustain it.
If it comes too late, we may miss its purpose.
God is not forgetful. He remembers.
God is not indifferent. He cares.
God is not slow. He hastens to perform His words.
God is precise.
And He declares in His word: “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time. Isaiah 60:22 KJV
So we must learn to trust Him.
In the waiting: trust Him.
In the process: trust Him.
In the unfolding: trust Him.
HE IS THE GOD OF PERFECT TIMING.
And in His time, everything—absolutely everything—becomes beautiful.
