GOD HAS NO DEAD ENDS

GOD HAS NO DEAD ENDS

Have you ever tried to make your way out of a maze? It is frustrating, to say the least. But other emotions show up too. There is always an element of anxiety. The longer one spends in the maze, the more uneasy they feel.

Confusion is not far behind. Imagine entering the maze with confidence—only for that confidence to begin to wane the longer you stay.

Impatience sets in. You begin to wish you had never embarked on the journey, remembering a thousand and one other things you could have been doing instead of being trapped.

Helplessness slowly creeps in, bringing with it a sense of being trapped. Then comes fear… even panic.

And sometimes, after trying without success for so long, it turns into discouragemen and hopelessness.

I believe this is exactly how the Israelites felt when they got to the Red Sea.

A massive dead end stretched out before them.

Talk about caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Behind them—closing in fast—was Pharaoh’s army. Before them—the Red Sea—certain death.

Hear how they cried:

“Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die?… It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”. Exodus 14:11–12 NIV

There was absolutely no visible escape.

They stood between the devil and the deep blue sea— trapped, outnumbered, and out of options. (or so they thought)

But God was not limited to either side.

Simply put: God has no dead ends—only paths we haven’t seen yet.

God makes a way where there is no way.

And unknown to the children of Israel, God had already made a way for them.

“Tell the Israelites to move on… stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water…”. Exodus 14:15–16 NIV

Remember, when God called Moses, it was to bring the Israelites out so they could go and worship Him.

Yes, there was a situation.

Yes, there was a challenge.

Yes, there was terror.

But inspite of all these things, God was leading them to Himself.

They thought the Red Sea was the end—

but it was actually the beginning of their journey into the knowledge of God.

Right there, in the middle of that impossible situation, God revealed Himself as The Way Maker.

Sometimes, we will face challenges that appear insurmountable.

But we must

Hang in there.

Hold on.

Not let go.

Not give up.

Not quit.

Because when we get to what looks like a dead end— when you get to the end of ourselves —that is often the very place where God steps in.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 KJV

We must come to a place of rest. That is where God meets us.

When Elijah ran from Jezebel—even to the point of despair—God did not meet him in the chaos, but in stillness.

In a gentle whisper, God reminded him:

You are not alone. This is not the end.

What Elijah thought was a dead end became a new beginning—a recommissioning. Hazael, Jehu, Elisha and seven thousand more had already been prepared by God.

There was still purpose.

Still direction.

Still a future.

“…I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed to Baal…”

1 Kings 19:18 NIV

Dear friend, that storm will not be the end of you. It cannot be. It must be still.

Let us calm down.

Let us hand it over to God.

There is a way out. There is always a way out.

No matter how frustrating, confusing and insurmountable it looks, God has already made a way out.

But we will only see it when we stop fretting and running.

LET GOD SHOW US THE WAY.

THERE IS NO DEAD END WITH GOD!
