THE VOICE OF HIS WORD.

THE VOICE OF HIS WORD

Did you know that every Word spoken in Scripture has a voice?

Yes — just like our own voices, the Word of God can be heard.

So my question is this: ” Are we speaking the Word?”

We can only truly speak what we know, what we are conversant with, and what we are familiar with. I am a native Yoruba speaker, and I have also mastered the English and French languages. As a result, I speak all three quite well.

I spent time — years, in fact — learning each language. Yet I occasionally struggle with my French because it is not a language I speak often. However, I communicate very effectively in Yoruba and English, and that is definitely because I use both regularly. I read and write in all three languages, but I read and write in English the most, and it is therefore no surprise that my English writing packs a good punch.

With the English language, there is familiarity. I usually have no difficulty navigating it. Playing with words, expressions, and meanings comes naturally to me.

The bottom line is this: I speak English well because I am very familiar with it.

Now let us consider the Word of God.

How familiar are we with God’s Word?

In order to speak the Word of God effectively in every situation, we must first become deeply familiar with it. And that familiarity can only come from a place of learning, studying, meditation and continually engaging with Scripture.

After we have spent time learning and studying the Word of God, it becomes easier to apply it when the need arises. In moments of pressure, fear, uncertainty, warfare, or even worship, the Word we have stored within us begins to speak.

Here is what Scripture says:

“Bless the LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word!” Psalms 103:20 ESV

Notice that the Bible says the angels obey the voice of His Word.

This means that the Word of God carries a voice — and Heaven recognizes it!

The angels are mighty and they excel in strength, but the purpose of that strength is to carry out and respond to the Word of God.

Every time we pray scriptures, declare God’s promises, or speak His Word in faith, we are releasing a voice that Heaven recognizes.

We are activating divine and angelic assistance.

The Bible says:

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” — Hebrews 1:14 NIV

The angels are sent to minister to the heirs of salvation — that is us, believers.

Another translation of Psalm 103:20 says that the angels “excel in strength to carry out His plans.” Those plans are contained within the Word and promises God Himself has spoken concerning us.

Our LORD Jesus also talked about the importance of meditating on the Word. “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” – John 15:7 NLT

This is why the Word of God must dwell richly within us. If we do not know the Word, we cannot speak it. And if we do not speak it, how then will its voice be heard in our situations?

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He responded repeatedly with:

“It is written…”

He answered every temptation with the Word.

Because the Word carries authority.

The Word carries power.

The Word carries Heaven’s backing.

And what happened after Jesus resisted the enemy by speaking the Word?

“Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.” Matthew 4:11 NLT

Notice that after the Word was spoken and the enemy was resisted, angelic ministry followed.

Dear friends, let us become students of the Word again. Let us become familiar with the language of Heaven. Let Scripture dwell so richly within us that in every circumstance, the Word rises naturally from our hearts and lips.

For when we speak His Word, Heaven responds to His voice.

YES! THE WORD OF GOD HAS A VOICE AND HEAVEN RECOGNISES IT.

PLEASE, DO WELL TO SPEAK THE WORD! AND LET ANGELS COME TO THE RESCUE!
