LET EVERY THING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!!!

According to the Merriam-Webster learner’s dictionary.com, one of the uses of the verb “let” when followed by an object, is to formally introduce or issue  a command.

And so today I hear God saying “LET EVERY THING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD”

Psalm 150 : 6 KJV; and I realise that this is a command to us all.

Now because it is a command,  it is not subject to how we feel, what we think, where we are or who we are. It is not negotiable.

No one is exempted from this command.

As long as breath is in us we are commanded to Praise the Lord.

At creation it is written “ Let there be light and there was light”.

There was light because it was commanded.

The whole of creation came to be because God commanded it and there was no disobedience.

So just as God commanded and it was done we are told He saw that it was good.

Therefore as God has been commanding from time immemorial and is still commanding now “LET EVERY THING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD”; I am certain that as we obey Him it will be good just like it was at creation.

When we obey God, we are likened to the man who builds on the foundation of a solid rock that cannot be shaken by any storm.

Luke 6:47-48 KJV

Also as we keep his commandments………….our joy will be full.  John 15:10-11 KJV

Jesus calls us His friends “if we obey his commands”. John 15:14 KJV

Ron Kenoly in his 1992 song “Let every thing that has breath”  said “young and old,  rich and poor”

(all should praise the Lord!) And I add, how about tall and short, fat and thin, black and white, happy and  sad, employed and unemployed, married and single, in sickness and in health, with children and without children, grieving , celebrating , who-so-ever……..JUST PRAISE THE LORD!

And some might ask “what do I even want to praise Him for?”

Why don’t you start by praising Him for the breath you have right now? It could be gone in a dash. And remember, ONLY the living can Praise Him.

Let every thing that hath breath,  praise the Lord!!!
