THE ALL HEARING GOD

THE ALL HEARING GOD

My son is growing in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man. I am such a proud mama giving all the Glory to God.
Yet there is this one thing that he has going, my son can talk. He just loves to talk to his Nana, his dad and I at every chance he gets. And as much as I love to hear his voice especially first thing in the morning when he comes to my room to say “Mamaaaa” (for a cuddle, a kiss and a word of prayer); honestly by the end of the day most times I am exhausted. He wants to know absolutely everything. And he also wants to be telling me everything (which I just love, by the way). From sun up to sun down, his inquisitive mind is churning out questions to his mouth and out of his lips. He loves to talk.
One day last week, as I sighed, after just answering a few questions and listening to him analysing one thing or the other, a very funny thought came to me. How on earth (well maybe.. how in heaven) does God cope with the world when everyone is talking to Him at the same time especially on Sundays. Smile! But seriously, we are praying to Him, crying out to Him in prayers, praising Him in hymns, adoring and worshipping Him in songs and chants and He actually hears every single one of those words. That is simply phenomenal!

What ears!
What listening skills!
What a GOD!

My native Yoruba speakers from Western Nigeria call Him “ab’eti lu kara bi ajere”.
A mouthful with a deep meaning!
This is loosely translated to mean, the One who has ears all over like the wooden  receptacle (that has holes all over it) called ajere. This expresses that God’s ears are all over Him (literally speaking, GOD IS ALL EARS) and will hear anyone who cries out to Him from anywhere.

Jonah cried out to God from the belly of a huge fish. And God heard him from there.
“Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from inside the fish. He said, “I cried out to the LORD in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the land of the dead, and LORD, you heard me!” Jonah 1:1-2 NLT It does not matter how low you have sunk or how deep a rot you are in, just call unto the LORD and He will hear and answer.
There was once a king who refused to acknowledge God.  This was king Nebuchadnezzar whose pride was so great that he believed that all he had accomplished was by his own power. Then the prophecy that had been spoken against Him was fulfilled when he was banished into the wild and he lived like an animal on all fours for seven years until he cried to God in acknowledgement that God was the ruler of all. “Finally, I prayed to God in heaven, and my mind was healed. Then I said: “I praise and honor God Most High. God lives forever, and his kingdom will never end.” Daniel 4:34 NLT When he cried to God, God heard the cry of a man turned beast and the man was restored.

“The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12 NLT
Keep on doing what is right and know that you have God’s ears. As for the evil and wicked ones God does not hear them. Please stay away from evil.

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” Psalms 34:17 NIV Remember that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. So whenever we get into any trouble we must not hesitate to call on the LORD.
The LORD wants to help us and all we need to do is call out to Him. He has ears and He hears.
“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;” Isaiah 59:1 ESV
To hear is to perceive with the ears what another is saying. To listen attentively. And that is exactly what God does. He never tires of us talking to Him and we can never wear Him out. He hears every language, no tongue is foreign to Him.

This is our LORD and our GOD.
This is our FATHER ;
This is the ALL HEARING GOD!
