THE HAND OF GOD

THE HAND OF GOD

Remember the FIFA World Cup of Nineteen Eighty-six?

The quarter Finals featured Maradona and his tricks

Two very famous goals were scored in that match,

The one in the fifty-first minute, had no match.

They called it the “The Hand of God, Goal”,

Yes! the hand of God can do so much, but a goal……………

Quite frankly, ……………………..I have no idea .

It is strong; It is mighty, It belongs to the Almighty.

Sometimes, He stretches it out, To keep us safe and secure, no doubt,

Other times, it appears to be NOT kind, As it can make an offender go blind.

“Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Acts 13:11 NIV

Still, the hand of God is good; And trust in it, we really should.

It can save and It can deliver; Yet when He shakes it over the enemy, they will quiver.

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.”  Isaiah 19:16 KJV

Dear friend, may His hand not on you strike, For that is not something you will like.

Ask Job, he went through the pain, And bet you, he would never wish to, again.

“Have mercy on me, my friends, have mercy, for the hand of God has struck me.” Job 19::21 NLT

About this one thing though, you must never be mistaken,

We are the work of His hands and we will not be forsaken.

All in all the Hand of God does great and mighty things in our favour if we are God – seekers,  otherwise, we will have to face His wrath.

“The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.” Ezra  8:22 KJV

Nehemiah was a recipient of the favours that accompanied the good Hand of God that was upon him.

“And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.”  Nehemiah  2:8b KJV

Job has described the Hand of God as the origin of all things living.

“In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.”  Job  12:10 KJV892f3aa9eadf9075c05c46658dc78233

With that I leave you with the lyrics of this song that is making me trip right now. It’s a MUST listen to.

The melody is awesome.

And that does not surprise me “the Hand of God” must have inspired it.

I pray that “THE HAND OF GOD” will always be upon us for good.
