SOMEBODY’S SON HAS FOUND YOU

SOMEBODY’S SON HAS FOUND YOU

There is this new song by a young lady named Tiwa Savage (well maybe not so new now) and it goes like this…  “Somebody’s son go find me one day…” A lot of ladies have made short videos on Instagram where they are seen dancing alone or with a girlfriend or girlfriends, sashaying back and forth and the look on their faces depicting their wish that it will one day be their turn to walk down the aisle with the man of their dreams. Here is praying that their wishes will come true and for the ones who have already been found by “somebody’s son” I pray that their homes will be filled with the joy and happiness that only God can give. (Funny thing is I actually know some guys that wish to be found by somebody’s daughter too.) 🙂

So here is the thing, ladies (and guys), whatever your status, (single, in-waiting, married, divorced, widowed) a very important “somebody’s son” has found you and has been calling you. Jesus is His name, He is the Son of God, He is the most important “Somebody’s Son” that you will ever need. He wants to establish a forever relationship with you. You mean so much to Him.  He left everything to come after you. How awesome is that! We are told in the scriptures that “Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead he gave up his divine privileges, he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.” Philippians 2 6-7 NLT.  And God became man just for us.

The King of all kings is calling us now. What is our response to Him? Are we too busy or preoccupied that we cannot hear Him? Are we distracted and are not even aware that He is calling and waiting for a response? Hear what He says: “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Revelation 3: 20 NLT Jesus Christ our Lord expects a response from us. Our response is either an acceptance or a rejection. Pleases let us stop running around in circles and let us yield to Him as we invite and accept Him into our hearts and into our lives.

Jesus never stops calling us to Himself. “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2: 9 NLT He is the light of the world and He is calling us into His light. The world is getting darker as the days go by. Let us respond to Jesus and come into the light.

Stop running away. Let Him come in. He keeps His word. “God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 NLT Is there perhaps something you are trusting Him for, He will make it good.

This “Somebody’s Son” will never leave you, nor forsake you. Stick with Him.
