THE NEXT LEVEL
The very best tests are the ones we pass at the first sitting.
I say this because if we fail to pass we must repeat the test and I believe nobody likes to repeat a test.
Now LIFE is a school and we must take tests in order to move on to the next level of anything- education, career, relationship, business, marriage, finances, spiritual growth; just about everything.
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21 KJV
The above parable implies that you must do well at a lower level to get promoted to the next level.
Yet in life it is not always the case that we are given an examination timetable. Therefore we must always be prepared so that we are not caught unawares.
The tests come by way of challenges and obstacles that we must pass through and as we progress they might last longer and become more intense than previous ones.
So if someone hurts us, we feel offended, we lose a job or even a loved one, we are cheated or insulted………whatever…….Please just MOVE ON! Yes these things happen, they are very painful and devastating but we do not have to stay at that place of anger, bitterness, discouragement, grief or depression.
The moment we realise that they are tests that we have to pass (designed by the devil to derail us YET allowed by God to strengthen us for where He is taking us) we are able to move quickly to the next level.
“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence. Job 1:12 NLT
Moving quickly though is not always easy but be assured that you NEVER walk the road alone.
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2 NLT
BISHOP T. D. JAKES (with the Potter’s House Mass Choir), in their 1998 song, This test is your storm; have this to say:
“So your daughter won’t hear you
Your son couldn’t care less
Seems they’ve done all to hurt you but it’s only a test……..
You say you’ve been wounded you’ve given your best
You’ve been misunderstood but it’s only a test
Just hold on, through your storm, be strong
and Hold on, this test is your storm
but it wont be long , go through, hold on”
So remember, whenever you have to pass through the storms of life, you are passing the test to your next level.
Don’t give up!
